Welcome to Woongarra, our family-run motel beside the Camden Haven River at North Haven in the Greater Port Macquarie Region on the New South Wales Mid North Coast, roughly half way beween Taree and Port Macquarie.

Woongarra is an Aboriginal word meaning "Sleeping Place", and what better place to come to for sleeping than North Haven, a family-friendly base from which to explore our beautiful Camden Haven region and beyond.

Our 16 comfortable rooms are directly opposite the Camden Haven Inlet and in walking distance of North Haven Bowling Club, cafes, a post office and a variety of shops.

The inlet pathway takes you out to the northern breakwater and the surf at Grants Beach, to parks and barbecues or in to Laurieton.

Everything you need for the perfect holiday or short break is close - fishing, surfing, boating, clubs, pubs, walks, shops, banks, cinema. And we' re only 25 minutes from Port Macquarie.

Getting to Woongarra Motel

Getting here by car is easy. It's 4 hours north of Sydney, 7 hours south of Brisbane, and 4 hours east of Tamworth over the Great Divide.

You can also come from Sydney or Brisbane by Countrylink train to Kendall or air-conditioned coach to Kew, or you can fly with Qantaslink or Virgin into Port Macquarie from Sydney or with Virgin from Brisbane. We're happy to collect you from your point of arrival.
